Pleasant sailing yacht
We should not have expected otherwise from its designer, but the Espace is above all a pleasant yacht. With good sailing characteristics both under sail and on the engine, the ship is optimal for recreational use. For example, it's ideal for both a relaxing weekend with friends or a long holiday to further destinations. When the weather is not optimal, the Espace is also able to sail in most inland waterways. Enjoying a glass of wine in the cockpit right by the windmills of Sloten is something really special. The ship also sails smoothly on the Wadden and the Zeeland streams. Due to the shallow draft, all Wadden Islands can be visited. Because of its comfort, a longer stay in the Krabbenkreek in Zeeland is also really enjoyable.
Sailing Yacht
The Jeanneau Espace, is a very comfortable sailing yacht (motor sailer). The yacht is designed by the famous Ph. Briand. The yacht is ideal for European and Dutch waters. This is due to its variable draft and the ability to steer indoors in cold weather and rain.
Keel Centerboard
The keel-centerboard construction consists of a cast steel keel and centerboard. With the hydraulically raised centerboard, the draft remains limited to 1.25 meters. You can still sail well with the centerboard pulled up. Especially on large courses, this has the advantage that the lateral surface and thus also the resistance is reduced. Sailing on shallow waters, such as the Frisian lakes, and also many English rivers is also possible.
Sailing in shallow water
Thanks to its yacht legs, the Jeannau can be used during low tides. This increases comfort and safety when sailing on shallow tidal waters such as the Wadden Sea. Making a stop in a low tide, for example to walk to land, is therefore possible and fun.
Inside cockpit
The Jeanneau Espace is equipped with a hydraulic steering system. Due to the hot air heating, it can also be nice and warm in the cabin while sailing. On cold and wet days it's ideal to steer from inside, for example along the Fixed Mast Route or the Kieler canal.
Seaworthy
The Jeanneau Espace is certified with the CE category A. Category A yachts are designed for long journeys where the wind force can be more than 8 on the Beaufort scale and the wave height can be more than 4 meters without causing the ship to get into trouble, for example, on the oceans.
